When cruising with Cunard, you’ll be met with a wide variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, with bars, lounges, and restaurants offering something for all tastes and preferences. And, with both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks packages available through Cunard’s new ‘World of Drinks’ packages, you’ll be able to customise your cruise experience to suit you.
But, what are the Cunard drinks packages you can choose from, and what drinks do they include? Cunard drinks packages – A World of Drinks
When cruising with Cunard, the following drinks packages are available to pre-purchase or purchase during the first two days of your voyage:
- Alcohol-Free Collection
- Premium Alcohol-Free Collection
- Beverage Collection
- Premium Beverage Collection
All of the above drinks packages are available to purchase at the time of booking, ahead of your cruise via the My Cunard Cruise Personaliser, and while you’re onboard, if that’s more convenient to you. If you pre-purchase your drinks package, you must do so at least three days before your embarkation date. While onboard, you may purchase your drinks package up to two days into your voyage.
The cost of each package, though, varies depending on the length of your cruise and whether you pre-purchase your drinks package or purchase it during your voyage. Previously, these were only available on voyages that were five nights or longer; however, they’re now available on almost all Cunard cruises – be that a two-night cruise from Southampton or a world cruise that lasts several months.

In this drinks package, you’ll have the chance to enjoy all hot drinks and soft drinks up to a value of $4.50 per serving, unlimited fountain soda, and gelato up to a value of $4.50 per serving – where available. The service charges for all drinks included in this package are also included in the Alcohol-Free Collection.
It’s worth keeping in mind that any drinks over $4.50 per serving are not included in this drinks package, and there is no discount on non-alcoholic and alcohol-free beverages that are not already included in this drinks package. The Alcohol-Free Collection is also limited to 15 drinks per guest per 24-hour period (6:00 am to 5:59 am).
Cunard’s Premium Alcohol-Free Collection
However, what’s included in Cunard’s Premium Alcohol-Free Collection? In this drinks package, you’ll be able to enjoy all hot drinks and soft drinks up to a value of $12.00 per serving, including freshly-squeezed juices, smoothies, mineral waters, and speciality coffees. You’ll also enjoy unlimited gelato and milkshakes – where available – with this drinks package.
Cunard’s Premium Alcohol-Free Collection also includes alcohol-free cocktails, and non-alcoholic or alcohol-removed beers, wines, and spirits up to a value of $12.00 per serving. The service charges on all drinks included in this package are also included in the Premium Alcohol-Free Collection drinks package.
It’s important to note that all alcoholic beverages, and all drinks over a value of $12.00 per serving, are not included in the Premium Alcohol-Free Collection. There’s also no discount on non-alcoholic and alcohol-free beverages that are not already included in this drinks package. Unlike the aforementioned Alcohol-Free Collection, there is no limit on the number of non-alcoholic drinks you can enjoy with the Premium Alcohol-Free Collection drinks package.
Cunard’s Beverage Collection
If you’re looking to enjoy alcoholic beverages during your Cunard cruise, you may be wondering what’s included in Cunard’s Beverage Collection? In this drinks package, you’ll be able to enjoy all beers, spirits, wines by the glass, sparkling wines by the glass, and liqueurs up to a value of $13.50 per serving. You’ll also be able to enjoy all alcohol-free cocktails, premium canned and bottled soft drinks, freshly-squeezed juices, smoothies, mineral waters, non-alcoholic beers, and alcohol-removed wines and cocktails. Unlimited gelato and milkshakes are also included – where available – with this drinks package.
Cunard’s Beverage Collection also includes a 15% discount on all wines by the bottle up to a value of $150.00, and on all bookings of Cunard Wine and Bar Academy Masterclass events. If you spot something on the menu you want, but it’s not included in the Beverage Collection drinks package, this Cunard drinks package features a unique pay-the-difference enhancement. With this, you will be able to pay the difference for drinks over $13.50 per serving, and an additional 15% service charge.

Finally, what’s included in Cunard’s Premium Beverage Collection? In this drinks package, you’ll be able to enjoy all beers, spirits, wines by the glass, cocktails, liqueurs, and Champagne served by the glass up to a value of $20.00 per serving. You’ll also be able to enjoy alcohol-free cocktails, premium canned and bottled soft drinks, freshly-squeezed juices, smoothies, mineral waters, non-alcoholic beers, alcohol-removed wines and spirits, and specialty hot drinks.
Cunard’s Premium Beverage Collection also includes a 25% discount on all wines by the bottle with a value of up to $150, and on all bookings of Cunard Wine and Bar Academy Masterclass events. And, in a similar fashion to the Beverage Collection, if you spot something on the menu you want, but it’s not included in the Premium Beverage Collection drinks package, this Cunard drinks package features a unique pay-the-difference enhancement. With this, you will be able to pay the difference for drinks over $20.00 per serving, and an additional 15% service charge. However, the service charges on all drinks included in this package are also included in the Premium Beverage Collection drinks package.

Will the old drinks packages still be available?
If you have pre-purchased a Cunard drinks package before the release of the new collection, your original drinks package will be honoured for the duration of your cruise. However, you will not enjoy the additional benefits and improvements of the newer drinks package unless you upgrade – it’ll simply be the same drinks package you previously pre-purchased.
Can you upgrade your current drinks package to one of the new ones?
Yes, you can! You’ll be able to upgrade your drinks package via My Cunard before your cruise, or onboard once you’ve embarked; all you will need to do is pay the difference between the two packages.
Does everyone in the same stateroom need the same drinks package?
Yes, everyone in your stateroom must purchase the same drinks package; however, guests under the age of 18 can buy the Alcohol-Free Collection or Premium Alcohol-Free Collection instead.
There are additional exemptions to this ‘rule’, too. If you’re pregnant, have a medical issue that prohibits the consumption of alcohol, or are a recovering alcoholic, you will be able to purchase the Alcohol-Free Collection or Premium Alcohol-Free Collection instead.
Can you buy a round using your drinks package?
No, all drinks ordered with a drinks package are for personal consumption only. Any additional drinks ordered will be charged at the full menu price, plus an additional service charge. This also applies to purchasing multiple beverages at once; only one drink order per guest with a drinks package will be included and not charged at the full menu price, with the additional service charge.

- Your drinks package may not be used on the day of your disembarkation.
- All bottles and cans will be served open.
- Pre-purchasing a drinks package must be completed at least three days before embarkation.
