This March, Royal Caribbean unveiled a brand-new Icon-class cruise ship, Hero of the Seas, promising sensational family adventures of heroic proportions. Featuring nine pools, a whopping 28 different dining options, and a whole host of sensational attractions and amenities, this ship is a record-breaker with something for the whole family.
Launching Summer 2027 with sailings out of Miami and a selection of itineraries always featuring a stop at Perfect Day CocoCay (one of the best cruise line private islands in the Caribbean Sea), Hero of the Seas boasts a quintessential Icon Class experience, featuring familiar favourites like FlowRider, Crown’s Edge, and Hooked Seafood alongside alterations to already-excellent Royal Caribbean attractions and a handful of brand new experiences.

Coconut Cove, The Hideaway, Thrill Island, Orleans Parish Supper Club, Family Cooking Classes, and the Ultimate Family Treehouse
These new experiences include a new immersive dining experience at Royal Railway - Hero Station, the Coconut Cove pool area, and family cooking classes everyone can enjoy. You’ll also have the chance to enjoy exhilarating new attractions at Royal Caribbean’s iconic Category 6 waterpark, including a new funnel raft slide and two new family raft slides, alongside a refined evening meal at Orleans Parish Supper Club, an elevated restaurant inspired by the elegance of the French Quarter throughout the early 20th century.
Beyond this, Hero of the Seas boasts the same excellent Icon Class experience as Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas, Star of the Seas, and Legend of the Seas. This includes neighbourhoods like Surfside and Central Park, restaurants such as Chops Grille and Sorrento’s, and attractions like Adrenaline Peak, Absolute Zero, and the AquaTheater.
